Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Groundsperson to clear brush and trees and perform site clean-up on utility vegetation projects. Prior line clearance or vegetation management experience is preferred, and a valid driver’s license is desirable for driving tasks.

This full-time role includes benefits and overtime; safety, physical endurance, and outdoor work under varying weather are essential. Travel for storm restoration may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred or equivalent.
• Experience in vegetation management or line clearance preferred.
• Must be able to pass background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Clear brush and trees as directed; perform job-site cleanup.
• Load and unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris; feed brush into chipper.
• Operate hand tools (saws, pruners, loppers) and power saws.
• Set up and break down road signs; flag traffic to protect workers.
• Drive trucks or operate equipment as assigned; perform basic maintenance.
