Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services is seeking a Groundsperson to support crews by clearing brush and trees from the ground. The role requires a valid driver’s license and driving experience of at least three years.

The position involves loading/unloading, operating light equipment, and performing site clean-up with a focus on safety and efficiency. A high school diploma is preferred and employment includes benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Driver’s license required with at least three years of driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce safe practices and rules.
• Clear debris and brush from work area.
• Cut brush and trees with hand tools and gas-powered chainsaws.
• Load/unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris; feed brush into chipper.
• Lower limbs using hand lines; operate equipment.
• Perform general clean-up after each job.
• Maintain tools and equipment; report major repairs.
• Set up/break down road signs; flag traffic for safety.
• Drive truck or operate other assigned equipment.
• Travel for storm restoration work as needed.
