Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services seeks a Groundsperson to support crews by performing ground‑level work, clearing brush and trees, and handling site cleanup. You will help maintain safe work practices and assist with material handling and equipment operation.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to work outdoors in varying weather, and a valid driver’s license. Travel for storm restoration work may be required, with full‑time employment and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military environments preferred.
• Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe practices and enforce safety rules.
• Keep work area clear of debris.
• Clear undergrowth from right‑of‑way using hand tools to cut brush and trees.
• Load and unload trucks with logs and debris; feed brush into a brush chipper.
• Use hand lines to lower limbs and operate equipment.
• Perform general clean‑up of job sites after completion.
• Transport materials and tools to the site and set up gear.
• Drive truck or operate equipment as assigned.
• Perform basic maintenance on trucks and equipment.
• Travel for storm restoration work as needed.
