Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services are seeking a Groundsperson in Knoxville, IA to support crews by working from the ground, clearing brush, and performing site clean-up. A valid driver’s license is required, and travel may be needed for storm restoration work.

The role emphasizes safety, physical endurance, and ability to operate hand tools, load debris, and assist with equipment. This is a full-time, outdoor position with benefits and on-site responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physically demanding work outdoors.
• Able to pass background check and drug screen as required.
• Driver's license required if duties include driving.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and enforce safe practices on site.
• Clear brush and trees from right-of-way using hand tools.
• Load/unload materials and feed brush into chipper.
• Flag traffic and set up road signs to protect workers.
• Drive truck or operate other equipment as assigned.
• Perform basic maintenance on trucks and equipment.
