Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts seeks a Groundsperson to support the crew with ground-based work, brush clearing, and site clean-up. A valid Driver's License is required for driving duties and travel may be necessary for storm restoration.

The role emphasizes safety, physical fitness, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. Full-time position with health benefits and a 401K may be offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or education equivalent preferred.
• Must have and maintain a Driver’s License if hired for a driving position.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Experience in utility vegetation management or related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and help enforce safe practices while keeping the work area clear of debris.
• Clear undergrowth from right-of-way using handsaws, pole saws, pruners, and other equipment to cut brush and trees.
• Load and unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris; feed brush into the brush chipper.
• Set up and break down road signs; flag traffic to protect workers and the public.
• Drive truck or operate other equipment as assigned; perform basic maintenance on vehicles and tools.
