Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services is seeking a Groundsperson to clear brush and trees, perform site cleanup, and support storm restoration efforts. The role requires physical strength, outdoor work capability, and the use of hand and power tools to maintain clear rights-of-way.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen. Benefits accompany full-time employment with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have physical strength and balance to drag heavy limbs and operate tools.
• Capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to hear verbal instructions from a distance.
• Must obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR.
• Driver's license required if the position involves driving.
• Able to communicate effectively with team members.
• Willingness to travel for storm restoration work when needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety practices and enforce rules on site.
• Keep work area clear of debris.
• Clear undergrowth and cut brush and trees with hand tools and power tools.
• Load/unload trucks with logs and debris; feed brush into chipper.
• Set up/tear down road signs and flag traffic for safety.
• Drive truck or operate other equipment as assigned.
• Perform basic maintenance on trucks and equipment and report major repairs.
• Provide protection for workers and public from hazards.
