Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Groundsperson to clear brush and assist in vegetation management projects. This full-time role requires physical effort, valid driver's license, and the ability to operate hand tools and light equipment safely.

You will work outdoors in varied weather, support storm restoration when needed, and follow safety rules while coordinating with the Foreperson. Benefits include health insurance and a 401K; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have physical strength and balance to drag heavy limbs and operate tools
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Must be able to pass background check and drug screen
• Must possess/maintain a Driver’s License if driving
• Must be able to follow verbal instructions and communicate with team

Responsibilities

• Follow safe practices and enforce safety rules
• Clear brush and trees from right-of-way using hand tools
• Load/unload trucks with debris and feed brush into chipper
• Set up/break down road signs and flag traffic
• Drive truck or operate equipment as assigned
• Perform basic maintenance on trucks and equipment
• Support storm work as needed
