Essex Property Trust is seeking a Porter to maintain exterior and common areas at one or more properties, ensuring a clean, well-kept environment for residents and visitors.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license for golf carts, basic computer skills (Outlook), and English fluency. It is a five-day onsite position with physical duties and occasional seasonal tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required for on-site golf cart use.
• Experience in custodial or general maintenance preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of exterior areas including sidewalks, parking lots, courtyards and landscaping.
• Clean and maintain common areas: lobbies, hallways, restrooms and fitness centers.
• Ensure supplies are stocked (toilet paper, soap, towels) in common areas.
• Report maintenance issues or hazards to supervisors.
• Assist residents and visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
• Perform seasonal tasks: snow/ice removal, leaf blowing, pressure washing exterior surfaces.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE.
• Assist with bulk trash removal and recycling.
