Job summary

Essex Property Trust is seeking a Porter to maintain the grounds and common areas at one or more Bellevue properties. The role involves cleaning exterior and interior spaces, stocking supplies, and ensuring a polished appearance for residents and guests.

You will interact with residents professionally, assist with basic tasks, and perform seasonal duties like snow removal. A valid driver’s license and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Some custodial or general maintenance experience is preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for onsite operations with golf carts.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain exterior areas: sidewalks, parking lots, courtyards, and landscaping; keep common areas tidy and well-kept.
• Clean and maintain lobbies, hallways, restrooms, fitness centers, and other common spaces; replenish supplies.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors.
• Empty trash receptacles and assist with bulk trash removal and recycling tasks.
• Interact with residents professionally and assist with directions or carrying items as needed.
• Perform seasonal tasks such as snow/ice removal and pressure washing exterior surfaces.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE; report hazards immediately.
• Other duties as assigned.
