Job summary

Intermountain Health in Elko, NV seeks an Emergency Medical Technician to respond to calls, assess patients, and provide basic life support during transport to medical facilities. You will operate ambulances, document care, and coordinate with emergency services while adhering to protocols.

The role requires EMT Basic, license within 120 days, BLS certification, and a valid driver's license. PHTLS and attendance license are preferred; 48-hour weekly schedule with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Completed EMT Basic Course.
• Must obtain EMT license in state of operation within 120 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
• Current valid driver license in good standing.
• Preferred: Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) National Registry Certification.
• Attendance License (Before start of employment).

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Assess patients' conditions to determine nature and extent of injuries or illness.
• Provide basic life support and administer first aid, CPR, and other BLS measures.
• Stabilize patients at the scene and during transport to facilities.
• Safely transport patients to hospitals or other medical facilities.
• Operate and drive ambulances and other emergency vehicles.
• Communicate with other emergency services and with family or staff.
• Document care provided and patient condition accurately.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
