Job summary
Intermountain Health in Elko, NV, seeks an EMT to respond to emergencies and non-emergencies, assess patients, and provide basic life support. You will stabilize patients at scenes and during transport to facilities, operate emergency vehicles, and document care provided with attention to safety and protocol adherence.
The role requires EMT Basic Course completion, state licensure within 120 days, and a valid driver license.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of EMT Basic Course.
- Must obtain EMT license in state of operation within 120 days of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
- Current valid driver license in good standing.
Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls.
- Assess patient conditions to determine nature of injuries or illnesses.
- Provide basic life support and administer first aid, CPR, and other measures.
- Stabilize patients at scene and during transport to facilities.
- Safely transport patients to hospitals or medical facilities.
- Operate emergency vehicles and drive ambulance safely.
- Communicate and coordinate with other emergency services and family or staff.
- Maintain equipment and ensure it is in good working order and stocked.
- Document care provided and patient condition.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with medical protocols.
