Job summary

Intermountain Health in Elko, Nevada is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician to respond quickly to emergencies, assess patients, provide basic life support, and transport to medical facilities. The role requires operating ambulances and coordinating with other emergency services.

Qualifications

Successful completion of EMT Basic Course.
Must obtain EMT license in state of operation within 120 days of hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
Current valid driver license in good standing.

Responsibilities

Respond quickly to emergency and non-emergency calls.
Assess patients' conditions to determine nature and extent of injuries or illness.
Provide basic life support and administer CPR and other measures.
Stabilize patients at the scene and during transport to facilities.
Safely transport patients to hospitals or other facilities.
Operate ambulances and other emergency vehicles.
Communicate and coordinate with other emergency services and with family or staff.
Maintain equipment and ensure it is stocked and functional.
Document care provided and patient condition accurately.
Participate in ongoing training to stay current with medical protocols.
