Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare seeks an Emergency Medical Technician to respond to emergencies and non-emergencies, providing basic life support and rapid assessment. You will stabilize patients at the scene and during transport, communicate with EMS and family, and ensure equipment is stocked and ready for use.

Qualified candidates have EMT Basic Course completion, an EMT license current in the state of operation within 120 days of hire, and a valid BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of EMT Basic Course.
• Must obtain EMT license in state of operation within 120 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
• Current valid driver license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Responds quickly and efficiently to emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Assesses patient conditions to determine nature and extent of injuries or illness.
• Provides basic life support, CPR, and first aid.
• Stabilizes patients at the scene and during transport to facilities.
• Safely transports patients to hospitals or medical facilities.
