Job summary

Intermountain Health in Elko, NV is seeking an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician to respond rapidly to emergencies, assess patients, perform basic life support, and stabilize and transport patients to care facilities.

This role requires a valid AEMT course, BLS, and a current driver's license; salary ranges from $19.50 to $26.48 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of AEMT Course.
• Must obtain AEMT license in state of operation within 120 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
• Current valid driver license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly to emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Assess patients' conditions and determine injury/illness severity.
• Provide basic life support and administer CPR and first aid.
• Stabilize patients at scene and during transport to facilities.
• Safely transport patients to hospitals or medical facilities.
• Operate emergency vehicles and drive ambulances safely.
• Communicate and coordinate with emergency services and families.
• Maintain medical equipment and ensure proper stocking.
• Accurately document care provided and patient condition.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with protocols.
