Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician in Elko, Nevada to provide care for critically ill patients in diverse settings, including at the scene and during transport.

You will respond to calls, stabilize patients, transport to facilities, document care, and participate in ongoing training. The position offers an hourly wage of $18.94–$24.62 and a comprehensive benefits package, including PEAK tuition coverage.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an EMT Basic Course.
• Must obtain EMT license in state of operation within 120 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Current valid driver's license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Responds quickly and efficiently to emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Assesses patient conditions to determine nature and extent of injuries or illnesses.
• Provides basic life support and CPR, and other basic life support measures.
• Stabilizes patients at scene and during transport.
• Safely transports patients to hospitals or medical facilities.
• Operates and drives ambulances and emergency vehicles.
• Communicates with other emergency services and with family or staff.
• Documents care provided and patient condition accurately.
• Participates in ongoing training to stay current with medical protocols.
