Meijer Inc. in Indiana is seeking a store leader to plan, direct and supervise day-to-day operations across departments.

You will mentor staff, implement service strategies, and ensure prime shopping hours, product presentation and company standards are met. The role emphasizes staffing and hiring to meet needs, develops career paths, handles disciplinary actions, manages P&L and shrink, delivers fast, friendly service, and trains teammates to uphold Meijer standards and the Meijer Friendly

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store (meat, bakery, produce, deli) helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and resolve conflict.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze information for decisions.

Responsabilidades

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning with career paths and development needs; involved in promotion decisions.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions; make discharge recommendations.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Model exceptional, fast, and friendly customer service.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in team meetings and conversations.
• Mentor and coach team members to exceed customer service and sales goals; maintain Meijer standards.
• Ensure the team is trained in all job aspects and completed required training.
• Spend majority of time in-store communicating with customers and team members to ensure exceptional service.
• Promote a safe work environment and maintain reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
