Job summary

Meijer is seeking a store leader to plan, direct, and supervise day-to-day operations across departments. You will mentor and coach team members, drive sales while maintaining customer service and store standards, and ensure staffing and training align with company goals.

As a key member of the team, you will manage P&L, control shrink, and promote a safe, productive, and friendly shopping environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of retail experience.
• 1 year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in different departments are a plus.
• Clear, precise direction to team members.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and address root causes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze financial data.
• Experience teaching suggestive selling.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet needs.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet service and sales goals.
• Maintain store appearance and prime shopping hours alignment.
• Manage P&L, drive sales, and control shrink.
• Ensure staff training and regulatory certifications are completed.
• Deliver exceptional, friendly customer service.
• Promote Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings.
• Ensure safe work environment and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
