Job summary

Stop & Shop in Bristol, CT is seeking a highly motivated Non-Perishable Manager to oversee the daily operations of Grocery, General Merchandise, Health & Beauty Care, Frozen, and Dairy departments. You will drive sales, ensure safety, and lead diverse teams to deliver exceptional service in a busy retail environment.

This role requires 1–3 years of supervisory experience, a related bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and a strong ability to communicate and influence across functions.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in retail grocery.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field (preferred) or equivalent years of work experience.
• Highly motivated, results-oriented, and a self-starter with a proven track record of success.
• Strong ability to influence and communicate effectively across different functions.
• Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Grocery, General Merchandise, Health & Beauty Care, Frozen, and Dairy.
• Ensure departments meet or exceed sales and profit targets.
• Maintain high sanitation and safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Train and evaluate non-perishable department staff.
• Monitor performance and develop associates' growth plans.
• Foster diversity and inclusion within the team.
• Manage labor relations and address employee issues promptly.
• Deliver best-in-class customer service and well-stocked stores.
• Coach for operational efficiency and cost control.
• Oversee inventory levels and stock accuracy.
• Ensure safety audits and a clean working environment.
