Job summary

Stop & Shop is seeking a Store Department Manager to lead Meat, Seafood, Deli, Florist, Produce and Bake Shop operations. You will drive sales, ensure high standards of sanitation, and mentor perishable-team members across departments.

You will also oversee training, evaluate performance, and foster diversity while maintaining compliance with policies and labor laws. Weekend/holiday flexibility is required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in retail grocery preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management or related field (preferred) or equivalent years of work experience
• Strong ability to influence and communicate across functions
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills with the ability to guide teams to goals

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Meat, Seafood, Deli, Florist, Produce and Bake Shop
• Ensure departments meet or exceed sales and profit targets
• Maintain sanitation and safety in compliance with regulations
• Direct training of perishable department team members
• Monitor associate performance and support professional growth
• Foster diversity and inclusion within the team
• Manage labor relations and resolve employee issues promptly
• Drive customer service excellence and train staff to deliver it
• Coach for operational efficiency and cost control
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock management
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Conduct safety audits and maintain a safe work environment
