Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Grocery Manager to lead multiple departments—Grocery, Dairy, Frozen, and Beer/Wine—while ensuring product freshness, cost control, and outstanding customer service. You will hire, coach, and evaluate staff, manage schedules, and collaborate with leadership to optimize operations in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, communication, and strong attention to detail, with opportunities for growth and advancement within Sprouts’ store teams.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with 1 year managerial experience in retail/hospitality or service industries.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to take/give direction and work in a team.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with a positive attitude toward customers.
• Demonstrated leadership to build and motivate staff while monitoring reports and financial goals.
• Attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain Food Safety certification and comply with relevant safety regulations.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Familiarity with personnel, margin, and sales reports and financial targets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple departments including Grocery, Dairy, Frozen, and Beer/Wine.
• Ensure product freshness; rotate stock and perform date controls.
• Control labor costs and reduce shrink through efficient operations.
• Coordinate deliveries; verify invoices and report shortages/overages.
• Manage ordering, sanitation, back-room inventory, and department safety.
• Coach and develop team members; conduct performance reviews.
• Attend store meetings and collaborate with Store Manager on promotions.
• Recruit, hire, and promote staff; manage MOD duties as needed.
• Adjust schedules to maximize productivity and coverage.
• Communicate standards and product knowledge to staff.
• Lead team to deliver high-quality products and exceptional service.
• Serve as Key Carrier / Manager on Duty as needed.
