Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Grocery Manager to lead multiple departments, including Grocery, Dairy, Frozen Food, and the Beer/Wine section, in a fast-paced, customer-focused store.

You will coach and develop a diverse team, schedule staff, control costs, maintain product freshness and safety, oversee deliveries and inventory, and collaborate with the Store Manager on hiring and promotions to deliver the best shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of managerial or supervisory experience in a multi-department operation.
• Strong written and verbal communication, able to train and direct staff.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with a positive customer-focused attitude.
• Proven leadership to motivate staff and meet financial goals.
• Detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of personnel, margin reports, and weekly sales numbers.
• Ability to lift and move heavy loads when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead sales and operation of Grocery, Dairy, Frozen, and Beer/Wine departments.
• Ensure proper product handling, rotation, freshness, and date controls.
• Control costs by managing labor and reducing shrink and loss.
• Assist in store inventories and physical counts preparations.
• Oversee unloading of trucks and verify deliveries against invoices.
• Manage ordering, sanitation, inventory, and department safety.
• Coach and evaluate team members through regular development discussions.
• Attend in-store meetings and participate in promotions.
• Recruit, hire, and promote in collaboration with the Store Manager.
• Address team member concerns with independent judgment and action.
• Adjust schedules to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Communicate standards, policy changes, and product knowledge.
• Lead a team to deliver top-quality products and service.
• Serve as Key Carrier or Manager on Duty as needed.
