Job summary

Moog Inc. is seeking a Grind Machinist I for the 3rd shift in Buffalo, NY. You will grind complex parts from blueprints, follow process instructions, and inspect work with precision gauges in a high-mix, low-volume environment. A sign-on bonus of $3,500 is available for qualified applicants.

Eligible candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, CNC training or certification, and demonstrable CNC setup/troubleshooting skills. Shift differential of 10% applies to 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from a formal manufacturing, machining, or CNC certification/training program.
• Experience setting up and troubleshooting CNC machine processes.
• Proficiency with measuring equipment (micrometers, dial bore gauges).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and process instructions or verbal directions.
• Set up and grind complex parts after training in a high mix, low volume setting.
• Inspect all work with gauges and measurement tools.
• Collaborate with team members to solve problems in their area.
