Job summary

Moog Inc. is seeking a Grind Machinist II for 2nd/3rd shift in Buffalo, NY. You will machine high-precision components used in mission-critical aerospace programs, working from blueprints and operation sheets.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED preferred; able to follow English instructions.
3+ years of experience as a precision machinist, preferably Grind Machinist.
Proficient with measuring equipment like micrometers, calipers, dial bore gauges.
Able to read blueprints and interpret work instructions.
Able to select grinding wheels, dress wheels, and run production parts to drawing requirements.
Able to hold tolerances of ±0.001" with GD&T.

Responsibilities

Read blueprints and instruction sheets to machine parts.
Grind complex parts with tight tolerances on cylindrical, internal, or surface grinders.
Set up machines, align parts, and select wheels and feeds for production.
Dress grinding wheels for form and finish; perform inspections with air gauges and other gauges.
Assist in planning work within the cell and resolve issues.
