Moog Military Aircraft LLC in Buffalo, NY seeks a Grind Machinist II to manufacture high-precision components for mission-critical aerospace programs. You will set up and run grinders, read blueprints, and ensure tolerances are met to GD&T standards.

The role requires 3+ years as a precision machinist, ability to read drawings, and FAA Drug & Alcohol Program compliance. Eligible for a $3,500 sign-on bonus; shift options include 2nd/3rd with 10% differential.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as a precision machinist, preferably as a Grind Machinist.
• Proficiency using measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, dial bore gauges).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and written work instructions.
• Ability to hold tight tolerances, typically .001 +/- .0005 (GD&T).
• FAA Drug & Alcohol Program participation required.

Responsibilities

• Grind a wide variety of complex parts to close tolerances and good finish.
• Perform own set-ups, chucking, alignment, and wheel selection.
• Dress wheels for form, taper, steps and unusual shapes.
• Inspect work using air gages, diatest, V-blocks and profilometers.
• Identify defects and assist in problem solving within the cell.
