Job summary

Moog Inc. is seeking a skilled Grind Machinist III for the 2nd shift in Buffalo, NY. You will work from blueprints and operation sheets to produce high-precision parts using cylindrical, internal, or surface grinders, with self-run setups and tight GD&T tolerances.

The role emphasizes independent work, precise measurement, and contribution to a team-focused cell. A $3,500 sign-on bonus is available to qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to understand and apply verbal, written and computer work instructions in English.
• At least 4 years of Grind Machinist experience.
• Proficiency with measuring equipment (Micrometers, Calipers, Dial Bore Gauges).
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T per drawing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Grind a wide variety of complex parts with tight tolerances on multiple grinders.
• Perform own set-ups including chucking and alignment of irregular parts.
• Dress wheels for form, taper, steps, and unusual forms.
• Inspect all work using air gauges, diastats, V-blocks and profilometers.
• Participate in cell planning and problem solving with minimal supervision.
