Job summary

Moog Inc. is seeking a skilled Grind Machinist III for the 2nd shift in Buffalo, NY. You will grind complex parts from blueprints, perform setups, and ensure tight tolerances while contributing to aerospace and industrial projects.

The role requires at least 4 years of grinding experience, proficiency with precision measuring tools, and the ability to read blueprints. A $3,500 sign-on bonus is available for qualified applicants who apply between July 20, 2026 and November 30, 2026.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 4+ years of Grind Machinist experience.
• Proficiency using measuring equipment (Micrometers, Calipers, Dial Bore Gauges).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and written work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Work from blueprints and operation sheets to grind complex parts.
• Perform own set-ups including chucking and alignment of irregular parts.
• Dress wheels for form, taper, and other shapes; select wheels and determine speeds/feeds.
• Inspect finished work using air gauges and profilometers; detect defects and deviations.
