Job summary

Moog Military Aircraft LLC in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Grind Machinist I for the 2nd shift to produce high-precision components for mission-critical defense programs. You will set up and grind parts, inspect with gauges, and collaborate to solve issues in a high-mix, low-volume environment.

Requires a high school diploma or CNC training, 1+ year machinist experience, blueprint reading skills, and FAA compliance enrollment. 2nd/3rd shift offer 10% differential and a $3,500 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year experience as a machinist or graduation from a CNC program.
• Experience setting-up and troubleshooting CNC machines.
• Proficiency using micrometers and dial bore gauges.
• Ability to read blueprints and work instructions; FAA SS&W program eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Set up and grind complex parts in a high mix, low volume production setting.
• Perform inspection of all work using gauges and measuring tools.
• Collaborate with team members to solve process issues.
• Work from blueprints and process instructions; ensure quality and precision.
