Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Associate Engineering Intern to join the Grid business unit. You will assist senior engineers on transmission and distribution projects, contributing to calculations, designs, and project reporting.

The role offers a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two remote days, ideal for students pursuing Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering degrees. No sponsorship for work authorization in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a BS or MS in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Eng.
• Relevant coursework in civil, geotechnical, strength of materials, statics, or electrical power.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Self-starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction.
• Ability to identify and prioritize issues, create solutions, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of engineering calculations, specifications and designs.
• Support project reporting, tracking activities and progress.
• Contribute to power design work and procurement documents.
