Sargent & Lundy seeks a Substation Engineer Intern to join our Grid team in Columbus, OH for a summer 2027 start. You will assist senior engineers on projects ranging from transmission upgrades to battery energy storage systems and renewable integration.

You will gain hands-on experience in engineering calculations, design tasks, and project reporting while applying coding and 3D modeling skills and exploring AI-enabled design tools.

Qualificações

• Active enrollment in a BS or MS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace or Chemical Engineering with coursework in Coding, 3D Modeling/Design, and AI experience.
• Knowledge of design techniques for producing technical plans, blueprints, drawings and 3D visualization.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Self-starter, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal direction.
• Ability to identify and prioritize issues, devise solutions and meet deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in preparation of engineering calculations, specifications and designs.
• Support project reporting: track progress and analyze data.
• Assist in power design work and procurement specifications for major electrical equipment and installation services.
