Job summary

Scoular Co. in Iowa seeks motivated grain elevator operators to join our team and contribute to safe, reliable supply chain solutions for our customers. You will load and unload grain, operate heavy equipment, manage storage, and uphold safety while maintaining cleanliness and performing routine maintenance.

Applicants should be prepared for overtime, including nights and weekends, and be willing to work outdoors in all weather. Experience in grain facilities is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
• Willingness to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to climb ladders, heights, and work in confined spaces.
• Able to perform strenuous tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs. multiple times per day.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload incoming and outgoing grain while assisting with the weighing and grading of grain trucks.
• Operate heavy equipment (loaders, skid steer loaders, track mobiles, rail car movers, etc.).
• Manage grain storage by creating and moving grain piles, as well as performing general cleaning and housekeeping of bins and storage structures.
• Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and promptly reporting any unsafe practices or hazards.
• Perform general maintenance tasks as needed to support operations.
