Job summary

The Scoular Company is seeking motivated grain elevator operators to join our team for the harvest season. This seasonal role involves safely loading and unloading grain, operating heavy equipment, and managing grain storage.

Applicants must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening, be willing to work overtime including nights and weekends, and lift up to 50 lbs while wearing PPE. Scoular has a long history and offers competitive health plans, paid holidays, vacation, and volunteer time

Qualifications

• Pre-employment physical and drug screening are required.
• Overtime availability including nights, weekends and holidays may be required.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Comfortable with climbing ladders, heights and confined spaces.
• Able to work in environments with grain dust.
• Must wear PPE (hard hats, safety glasses, safety footwear).
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
• Grain facility experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload grain and assist with weighing and grading of grain trucks.
• Operate heavy equipment (loaders, skid steer loaders, track mobiles, rail car movers).
• Manage grain storage by creating and moving grain piles and performing housekeeping of bins and storage structures.
• Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and reporting hazards.
• Perform general maintenance tasks to support operations.
