Job summary

Dashiell, an operating unit of Quanta Services, seeks a Graduate Electrical Engineer to support design and engineering tasks under supervision. You'll create design documents, wiring diagrams, and BOMs for substation projects, and learn NEC/NESC/IEEE standards on the job.

You'll gain hands-on field exposure at job sites, perform calculations for relay coordination, ground grid design, and transformer sizing, and develop engineering knowledge while contributing to project schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required; power focus preferred.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
• Prior internship and/or related work experience in the power field is preferred.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.
• Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds; ability to sit/stand/walk as needed.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with project team to create design documents, drawings, and BOMs for substation projects under supervision.
• Perform engineering support tasks such as relay burden, lighting, load flow, and short circuit calculations under supervision.
• Learn and apply software for ground grid design, relay coordination, transformer sizing, and load flow studies under supervision.
• Ensure tasks meet project schedules and apply NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI standards.
• Spend time at job sites to gain hands-on knowledge and additional training.
