Job summary

Dashiell, an operating unit of Quanta Services, is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our team. The role focuses on engineering and design duties for substation projects, under close supervision to develop knowledge and abilities.

You will perform tasks such as creating wiring diagrams, performing relay and load flow calculations, and applying NEC, NESC, and IEEE standards. Travel to site meetings is possible as projects require.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university is required; a power focus is preferred.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain within one year is required.
• Prior internship and related work experience in the power field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create design documents and drawings for substation projects under supervision.
• Perform engineering calculations such as relay burden and load flow under supervision.
• Learn and apply engineering software for ground grid design and transformer sizing under supervision.
• Adhere to NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI standards.
• Spend time at job sites to gain hands-on knowledge of substation construction and design.
• Complete tasks to meet project schedules and contribute to quality control.
