Job summary

Dashiell, an operating unit of Quanta Services, seeks a Graduate Electrical Engineer to perform engineering and design duties under close supervision. You will assist with creating design documents, wiring diagrams, and material lists for substations, while gaining hands-on experience on live projects.

Responsibilities include performing electrical calculations, learning engineering software, applying industry standards, and traveling to job sites as needed to meet project schedules and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university; EIT certification or ability to obtain within one year; prior internship and/or related work experience in the power field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create design documents and drawings for substations; generate wiring diagrams and bills of materials under supervision.
• Perform engineering calculations: relay burden, load flow, short circuit, ground grid design; coordinate relays and transformers under supervision.
• Learn software tools for engineering tasks and apply NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, ANSI standards at project sites.
• Travel to project sites as required; complete tasks to meet schedule; support project teams as needed.
