Job summary

Dashiell, an operating unit of Quanta Services, seeks a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join a project team and perform supervised engineering and design duties for substation projects. You will learn to create design documents, wiring diagrams, and materials lists while applying NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI standards on real projects.

Despite the supervision, you will gain hands-on experience at job sites, work on load flow and short-circuit studies, and develop familiarity with field

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university is required, a power focus is preferred.
• EIT certificate or ability to obtain EIT certificate within one year of date of hire is required.
• Prior internship and/or related work experience in the power field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating design documents, drawings, and wiring diagrams under supervision.
• Perform engineering calculations such as load flow, short circuit, and relay coordination under supervision.
• Apply standards (NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, ANSI) and gain hands-on site experience.
• Support project schedules and contribute to substation design tasks.
• Travel to project sites as required and participate in site visits.
