Job summary

Dashiell, an operating unit of Quanta Services, seeks a Graduate Civil Engineer to contribute to civil/structural design and substation projects. Supervised assignments aim to develop engineering knowledge and abilities.

You will learn and apply standards (NESC, IEEE, ANSI, AISC, ACI), perform wind load calculations, and participate in on-site training while supporting a project team across the full lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university; power focus preferred.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
• Prior internship and/or related work experience in the power field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a project team to create or modify civil and structural design documents and drawings for a project, under direct supervision.
• Perform engineering support tasks such as wind load calculations and structural analysis, with minimal supervision.
• Learn and apply engineering standards including NESC, IEEE, ANSI, AISC and ACI.
• Spend time at job sites to gain hands-on knowledge and additional training in substation construction and design.
• Take personal responsibility for the quality and accuracy of his/her work.
• Travel out of town for short periods of time as required by projects and assignments.
