Job summary

Dashiell, a Quanta Services company, is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our substation and power systems team in North Carolina. You will work under supervision to develop design documents, perform calculations, and learn industry standards while gaining hands-on site experience.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, are pursuing or will pursue an Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, and have internship exposure in the power field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
• Prior internship and/or related work experience in the power field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create design documents and drawings for substation projects under senior engineer supervision.
• Perform engineering calculations: relay burden, load flow, short circuit analyses.
• Learn and apply engineering software for ground grid design, relay coordination, transformer sizing.
• Meet project schedules and apply NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, ANSI standards.
• Travel to project sites as required.
