Job summary

Dashiell Corporation in Utah seeks a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join a project team. You will perform engineering and design duties under close supervision to build skills and contribute to substation projects.

You will create wiring diagrams, perform load flow and short circuit analyses, and apply standards such as NEC, NESC, IEEE while gaining field experience at sites and traveling as required. As you progress, you'll learn to size transformers, design ground grids, and coordinate with

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required, power focus preferred.
Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire is required.
Prior internship and/or related work experience in the power field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Create design documents and drawings for substations under senior engineer supervision.
Perform engineering support tasks such as relay burden, load flow, short circuit calculations.
Learn and apply engineering software for ground grid design, relay coordination, transformer sizing, and load flow studies.
Complete tasks to meet project schedule requirements and maintain quality.
Learn engineering standards including NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE and ANSI.
Spend time at job sites to gain hands-on knowledge of substation construction and design.
