Job summary

Dashiell, an operating unit of Quanta Services, is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join a project team focused on electrical infrastructure design and construction. You will work under supervision to develop civil/structural drawings and support engineering tasks.

Responsibilities include wind load calculations, applying standards (NESC, IEEE, ANSI, AISC, ACI), and on-site learning at substations. Travel may be required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university is required.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain EIT within one year of hire is required.
• Prior internship and/or related work experience in the power field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create or modify civil and structural design documents and drawings under supervision.
• Perform wind load calculations and structural analysis with minimal supervision.
• Learn and apply standards including NESC, IEEE, ANSI, AISC and ACI.
• Spend time at job sites to gain hands-on knowledge in substation construction and design.
• Travel out of town for short periods as required by projects.
