Job summary

Dashiell, an operating unit of Quanta Services, seeks a Graduate Electrical Engineer to contribute to design, calculations, and field support for substation projects in Texas. You will work under supervision to employ engineering principles while developing hands-on knowledge.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, and an Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is preferred. Travel to project sites and collaboration with a project team are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university is required, a power focus is preferred.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain EIT within one year of hire is required.
• Prior internship and/or related work experience in the power field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create design documents and drawings for substation projects under supervision.
• Perform engineering calculations: relay burden, load flow, short circuit, ground grid design.
• Apply NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI standards on projects.
• Spend time at job sites to gain hands-on knowledge and training in substation construction and design.
