Job summary

GHD is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Engineering Design Organization in Columbia, SC. You will work with Senior Engineers on projects across industrial, municipal and environmental markets, assisting with designs, calculations and modeling for water distribution, sewer, pumping stations and roadways.

This role features a hybrid work model with three in-office days per week, collaborative team environment, and opportunities to grow through hands-on project work and professional

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Engineering In Training (EIT) certification preferred.
• 0-2 years of Civil Engineering experience; internship experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of modeling and design software (REVIT, PCSWMM, etc.).
• Involvement in professional organization(s) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and edit designs and drawings; support project engineers.
• Prepare portions of project documents including drawings and specifications.
• Research code and regulatory requirements for projects.
• Evaluate design options and document findings for engineers and managers.
• Involvement in construction including site inspections and shop drawing reviews; assist with alternate designs as needed.
• Perform analysis and design tasks for new and existing facilities.
