Job summary

GHD is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Engineering Design Organization in Boston. As a graduate Civil Engineer you will work with senior engineers on projects across industrial, municipal and environmental markets, preparing designs, calculations and modeling for water distribution, sewer, pumping stations, roadways and stormwater.

This role offers a hybrid work model—three days in the office—plus opportunities to develop technical skills with REVIT, PCSWMM and AutoCAD, participate in site

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• EIT certification preferred
• 0-2 years of Civil Engineering experience; internship experience preferred
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Knowledge of modeling and design software (REVIT, PCSWMM) as applicable
• Involvement in professional organization(s) preferred

Responsibilities

• Preparing and editing designs recommended by Project Engineers
• Preparing portions of project documents including drawings and specifications
• Researching code and regulatory requirements
• Researching design options, component specifications and document findings for Project Engineers and Job Manager
• Involvement in Construction including site inspections, review of shop drawings, and responding to contractor’s questions; as needed, prepare alternate designs to resolve construction challenges
• Performing analysis and design retrofit of new and existing facilities
