Job summary

GHD is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer in the US East region to join our team and contribute to planning, design and construction for water, wastewater, and infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams around the world to deliver diverse projects for municipal and private clients and help grow this market.

The role supports a hybrid work model with office presence and travel to project sites.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
Current Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain.
At least 6 years of linear-focused project experience in water, wastewater, and infrastructure design.
Modeling capabilities
Willing and able to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed.

Responsibilities

Manage client relationships with small clients and assist senior colleagues with larger key clients.
Actively participate in a community of practice to build expertise in a defined area of consulting.
Carry out inspections to evaluate quality of engineering works and specify remedial works.
Design engineering solutions and validation processes to meet design briefs and standards.
Contribute to drafting engineering standards and evaluating their effectiveness in the organization.
Follow HSE policies to identify and mitigate environmental risks and workplace hazards.
Develop capabilities through training and external accreditation to improve performance.
Draft and complete proposals in response to bid solicitations and tender requests.
