Job summary

GHD is seeking a graduate Structural Engineer to assist with design, evaluation and implementation of structures for water, wastewater, and related infrastructure. You will join a high-energy team and contribute under the guidance of Project Engineers.

The role involves performing calculations, preparing drawings, and researching codes and options. This hybrid role allows three in-office days per week in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• 0–2 years of structural engineering experience; internship experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD; Revit knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the engineering design, evaluation and implementation of structures.
• Perform design calculations, sketches and technical comparisons.
• Reviewing and editing project specifications.
• Preparing and editing designs and drawings recommended by Project Engineers.
• Preparing portions of project documents.
• Researching code and regulatory requirements.
• Responding to contractor’s questions and preparing alternate designs as needed under the guidance of Project Engineers.
• Performing analysis and design retrofit of new and existing utilities.
