Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time teacher to share the gospel with churched and unchurched public school students in a classroom setting. The ideal candidate participates actively in a local church, demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and is caring and perceptive with children.

Responsibilities include completing the training, teaching LifeWise curriculum, building relationships with students, maintaining records, and representing LifeWise in the community.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of classroom teaching experience in school or church settings.
• Mature personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training, including LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days and attendance at annual LifeWise Summit.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and map curriculum customization.
• Invest in connecting with students through relationships and prayer.
• Maintain an organized, encouraging classroom environment with redemptive discipline.
• Maintain attendance records and class rosters, and prepare materials for substitutes.
• Maintain a clean, well-ordered classroom and be prepared for emergencies.
• Act as LifeWise ambassador in the community and communicate LifeWise's mission.
