Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a part-time teacher to share the gospel in a classroom setting with both churched and unchurched students. The role requires a committed Christian in good standing with a local church and the ability to establish caring, faith-centered relationships with children.

Responsibilities include training completion, lesson planning with LifeWise materials, maintaining records, and active engagement with school staff and volunteers to support student well-being.

Qualifications

• Two years of classroom teaching experience with students in school or church settings
• Active personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise's beliefs

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training, including LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days and annual LifeWise Summit attendance
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and map curriculum customization
• Build relationships with students and pray for them, creating a redemptive and engaging classroom environment
• Maintain accurate attendance, rosters, health notes and permissions; prepare substitute materials
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom and handle emergency procedures
• Communicate with school personnel and volunteers; provide regular updates and photos to the program director; promote LifeWise's religious mission
