Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time teacher to share the gospel with public school students in a classroom setting. The ideal candidate participates in a church and can communicate well, showing care and perceptiveness in teaching children.

The role requires completing certification, attending trainings, and engaging with students through relationship-building and prayer, while maintaining organized records and following LifeWise policies.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience (with students) in either a school or church setting.
• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the 'What We Believe' section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training and certification.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the curriculum and map out curriculum customization.
• Invest in connecting with students through building relationships and praying for them.
• Cultivate an organized, encouraging classroom environment and apply LifeWise policies.
• Take attendance and maintain accurate class rosters and records.
• Keep classroom clean and well-ordered; know emergency procedures.
• Communicate with school personnel and volunteers; attend events and provide updates.
