Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time LifeWise teacher to share the gospel in classroom settings with students in public schools. The candidate should be an active church participant, caring and capable of building relationships with children.

Strong communication skills and a mature Christian faith are required to align with the LifeWise Statement of Faith. The role involves training, lesson planning, and maintaining classroom records while engaging with volunteers and school staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of classroom teaching experience in school or church settings.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial and ongoing training, including LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days of start date.
• Teach LifeWise classes using LifeWise curriculum and map lesson plans to adapt to students.
• Maintain attendance, rosters, health notes and materials for substitutes as needed.
• Keep classroom organized, safe and engaging, with redemptive discipline and clear procedures.
• Communicate with school personnel, volunteers, and program director; share updates and photos.
