Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a part-time teacher to share gospel-centered education with students in a classroom setting. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with strong communication and interpersonal skills, caring, perceptive, and proficient in teaching children.

Responsibilities include training, teaching LifeWise classes, maintaining records, managing a positive classroom, and ongoing communication with school staff and volunteers to support students and LifeWise's mission.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience (with students) in school or church setting.
• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training, including LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days and annual LifeWise Summit attendance.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and map out curriculum customization.
• Invest in connecting with students through relationships and prayer.
• Maintain attendance records and class rosters, including health concerns and permissions.
• Keep classroom organized, safe, and conducive to redemptive, engaging learning.
• Communicate with school personnel, volunteers, and program director; promote LifeWise religious mission.
