Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time LifeWise teacher to share the gospel with public school students in a classroom setting. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is caring, perceptive, and proficient in teaching children.

You will complete the LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days, teach LifeWise classes using the curriculum, build relationships with students, maintain an organized classroom, and stay engaged

Qualifications

• Two years of classroom teaching experience in a school or church setting.
• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training and Certification within 30 days.
• Teach LifeWise classes using the LifeWise curriculum and map out curriculum customization.
• Invest in connecting with students through building relationships and praying for them regularly.
• Maintain an organized, encouraging and redemptive classroom environment and apply LifeWise policies.
• Take attendance and maintain class rosters and health notes as needed.
• Provide materials for substitutes and keep school officials informed of schedule changes.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador in the community and communicate the mission.
